Burning smell means stop, not hurry
If the dryer smells like burning at any point, end the cycle and unplug it, or shut the gas valve on a gas unit. Lint packed against a heat source is the leading cause of laundry fires, and it does not need long to become one. Then call us. We will treat it as same-day.

Four Things Worth Checking
Lint screen, every load
Half a screen of lint doubles cycle time and pushes heat back into the cabinet.
Vent hood outside
Go and look while it runs. If the flap is not lifting, the vent is blocked and the dryer is fine.
Breaker, both legs
Electric dryers pull two 120V legs. Lose one and the drum turns perfectly with no heat at all.
Crushed vent hose
Pushed back tight against the wall, foil hose folds shut behind the machine where you cannot see it.

My dryer runs but the clothes are still damp.
Before anything else, go outside and watch the vent hood while it runs. If the flap is not lifting, the vent is blocked, the dryer itself is often perfectly healthy.
How often should the vent be cleaned?
Once a year for most homes, twice if the run is long or the household is large. It is the single most neglected thing in an Arizona laundry room.
Gas or electric, do you work on both?
Both. Gas work is done by a technician trained on it, and we never leave a gas connection untested.
How much does dryer repair cost?
Typically $125 to $300 with parts and labor. The $55–125 diagnostic comes off that in full if you go ahead.
It smells like burning. Can I finish the load?
No. Stop the cycle and unplug it, then call. That smell is usually lint against a heat source and it is the one dryer fault we treat as urgent.
